Zee supports the Telangana state government in its fight against Telugu Kovid-19


The country's social and economic ecosystem is facing a tectonic shift as the Kovid-19 epidemic breaks out. Safety protocols have a lot of impact, which puts a lot of stress on daily activities. Moreover, the growing number of active cases across the country has put a huge strain on the healthcare infrastructure. Active efforts have been made by the State Government and other local authorities to ensure that everyone has access to adequate healthcare facilities and equipment. In its efforts to the state government, Zee Telugu has promised to donate PPE kits, masks and other critical medical equipment to the officials. The Zee Network is part of a larger initiative to donate equipment to 10 cities across India.

Joining the state government in its efforts to fight the ongoing epidemic, Zee Telugu has decided to donate 4,000 PPE kits and 16 ambulances to the state of Telangana. Appreciating the efforts made by the channel, the IT Minister, KTR liked the tweet.


The Zee Network has pledged support to various state governments and local authorities across the country by donating 200 ambulances, 40,000 PPE kits, 100 portable ICUs and 600,000 daily meals for a month. Cities include: Noida, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Chennai.

Zee Telugu has raised Rs. 35 lakh to about 400 families of daily wage workers from all 16 shows of the channel to help them overcome their economic challenges. In addition, during the first phase of the lockdown, Zee Telugu and Zee Cinemalu employees donated an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh to the television daily wage workers for immediate relief.
