Amazon Prime Video and TVF’s Second Collaborative Series Panchayat: Release Date, Plot, Cast, Trailer Announced!


For the first time in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video and TVF, they shared a great success with Hostel Diaz. It was at this time that both of them revealed that their second category of collaboration would be called Panchayat. The series is a comedy drama that follows an engineering graduate who likes to work in a remote village. The plot follows Abhishek Tripathi, played by Kota Factory and Shubh Mangal Zadvan Savdhan fame Jitendra Kumar. He chooses to be a secretary in the village panchayat due to low job opportunities. The remote village is called Phulera, which is a small village in Uttar Pradesh. It lacks the boundaries between electricity and more. Abhishek finds it challenging to adapt to this lifestyle and wants to pay a better job. A friend supporting him suggests that he should apply for CAT if he wants to get a job in a metropolitan city. Abhishek takes this suggestion seriously and struggles to study for the exam due to external pressures on his way. Panchayat is written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. All eight episodes of the series will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from April 320, 2020.

Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar) complained to a friend that the trailer of the panchayat starts, he will get a nominal salary of Rs 20,000 as secretary in a Gram Panchayat. His friend, whose character is unknown (Biswapati Sarkar), says he tries to get him a job by saying that he can venture at a young age and experience rural India in flesh and blood. Abhishek is not interested in what he says, but he does take the job. While in the village, she is identified with the village head Manju Devi (Nina Gupta) and her husband, Bridge Bhushan Dubej (Raghubir Yadav). Bridge wants to give Abhishek a room in his house but Manju is against this as he has a young daughter at home. Abhishek would be a good match for his daughter as he is of the same caste as him but the problem is that his salary is even lower.


Abhishek started addressing the problems of village life. Working closely with the community doubles their work and gives them more responsibilities than they want. When he reaches his breaking point, Abhishek talks to a friend who advises him to clear the Cat-Common Admission Test. This exam will be the only way out of the village and it will allow you to join the post graduate management course. Preparation for the anointing exam faces many challenges as the village's electricity is not constant. Slowly, he decides to install dozens of solar panels in the village. This action calls for verification.

Panchayat plot

Panchayat engineering graduate Abhishek revolves around Tripathi, who likes to work in a remote village in Fullera, as he lacks a good, high profile and well paid job. The village does not have a constant source of electricity and that investment is unbearable because people do not respect the boundaries. Abhishek finds it difficult to adapt to such a lifestyle. His friend suggests that he should study for CAT if he wants to get a better job in the city. Abhishek takes this suggestion seriously and begins his preparations with all preparation. But the constant lack of electricity and the problems of the people of Snoopy Village arise.

Panchayat cast

The panchayat boasts a wonderful cast. Each character is very skilled and the ives ooze into the character's skin. Apart from Jitendra Kumar, Nina Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy as an Assistant Development Officer in the Panchayat, and Faisal Malik as Prahlad Pandey. The government will play the guest role alongside newly arrived Suvindhu Chakraborty in the form of Mars, and Sushil Tandon as Bhindeswara.
